KOCHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder has announced two appointments to the Saginaw Valley State University board and one to the board of Oakland University. The state Senate must ratify the picks.
The Republican governor announced Wednesday that he's named John Kunitzer of Saginaw and Dennis Durco of Pinckney to serve until 2021 on Saginaw Valley State's board. It's in Saginaw County's Kochville Township, north of Saginaw.
Kunitzer is the retired chief of Yeo & Yeo PC. He replaces David Abbs.
Durco is director of West Bloomfield-based Eclipse Capital Group. He replaces Leola Wilson.
Snyder says he's also named BNC Bank Executive Vice President Ric DeVore of Bloomfield Hills to Oakland University's board, whose campus is in Auburn Hills and Rochester Hills. He replaces Dennis Pawley in a position expiring in 2020.
