LOGAN, Utah (AP) — Utah State University has received a $6 million donation from an alumnus and his wife to help establish an entrepreneurship center in its business school.
Jeffrey Clark and his wife, Bonnie, provided the gift for the entrepreneurship center that will be named for him in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business.
The endowment will fund programs that encourage entrepreneurial success as well as fund headquarters offices in soon-to-be-built Huntsman Hall.
Utah State officials say an additional pledge of $4 million is being sought to complete funding for the entrepreneurship center.
Jeffrey Clark, a 1982 graduate of Utah State with a degree in accounting, co-founded Genesee Partners in 1985. It was one of the first "fund of hedge funds" in the country.
He also founded his own firm, Praesideo Asset Management, in 1991.
