A weak front will pass through the Tampa Bay area this morning, bringing scattered showers and an increasing chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. WFLA meteorologists say there's about a 40 percent chance of rain across the area, beginning around 2 p.m., but the day won't necessarily be a “washout.” “You're going to want to have a backup indoor plan, just in case,” meteorologist Bryan Bennett said. The afternoon high will climb to about 90 degrees.
