From Ohio beginnings, vet saw the world with the Air Force

NEW TAMPA — In 1956, James Jones graduated cum laude from Miami University in Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in math. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant from Air Force ROTC and 10 weeks later he entered active duty. Jones served 32 years in the U.S. Air Force at 14 stateside bases as well as in Korea, Thailand and England. More
