Strawberry Crest High School band, orchestra plan golf tourney

The 2014-2015 high school musical season is about to begin and the Strawberry Crest Marching Chargers and Orchestra will be hosting their first annual golf tournament, which will take place Sept. 20 at 1 p.m. at Silverado Golf & Country Club, 36841 Clubhouse Drive, Zephyrhills.

Format will be a four-person scramble. Come as part of a foursome or be paired up.

Entry fee is $50 per person. Fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, range balls and lunch.

Optional $10 prize pak includes entry into closest-to-the-pin contest, putting contest, closest-to-the-line, long drive, one mulligan, one drink ticket and an additional donation.

There will also be raffles and prizes for first, second and third place net and gross teams.

Not a golfer but want to support the school? Strawberry Crest Band and Orchestra are seeking community members and businesses to participate. Any businesses that can offer donations for swag bags, auction/raffle items and prizes for the golfers as well as hole sponsorships will be greatly appreciated.

Funds raised from the event will be used for furthering the excellence of the band and orchestra programs and for out-of-state spring competitions in 2015.
