GFWC Little Women of Lutz wins tops awards at convention

The GFWC Little Women of Lutz won multiple top awards at their organization’s statewide convention that took place in Lakeland June 12 to 14. The girls won Outstanding Club of the Year in Category One. They also won the coveted Marcia Bright Award that goes to the club that interacts the most with their GFWC Woman’s Club sponsor. The Little Women of Lutz are mentored and sponsored by the GFWC Lutz- Land O’ Lakes Woman’s Club. This is the second year in a row that the girls won this award.

The young women also won four first-place and five second-place awards for work in the community that included fund raising events for breast cancer awareness, sponsoring a family at Christmas, collecting books to be placed in laundromats, playing bingo at the Veteran’s Home in Land O’ Lakes and doing a clean-up of Lutz Lake Fern Road three times a year.
