Dogs get event at Seminole Heights Relay for Life

Published:

TAMPA - The Seminole Heights Relay for Life adds another element with Bark for Life.

The event, open to the public for dogs and their owners, is from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 20 at Al Lopez Park, 4810 N. Himes Ave.

"We will have a DJ, chance giveaways, contests for the dogs, vendors, and of course the one-mile walk," said Beth Clickner, event coordinator.

"This past April, we had a Seminole Heights Relay for Life event at Hillsborough High School; Bark for Life is a chance to continue our fund raising efforts" with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society, Clickner said.

She said contests will include K9 So Fine (prizes to the best dressed dog); largest and smallest dog; best trick; and owner look-a-like.

Each dog must be accompanied by an adult and be on a leash that is no longer than six feet. Registration fee is $20 per dog.
